I used to use himd minidisc but it broke and would like to try digital. Its for recording my own acoustic music, not for recording live gigs if you know what i mean. I’ve seen their are lots of digital dictaphones but these are more for voice close up rather than the wide spectrum of sound from guitar, vocals, piano etc. Please can you recommend a portable digital recorder that will fit my requirements. When you ask these questions, you are really asking, "What am I looking for and what they teach me the best way"
Finding the right way is vital to the development of a student of guitar, will not only move faster, but you will not have to backtrack and re-learn any bad habits you may have developed learning the wrong way.
Fortunately, now thanks to the Internet, there is now a wealth of information, some good and some of them big. . . and some blatantly wrong.
In the days before the Internet if you wanted to play guitar can go two ways. Or you could learn by having an experienced player teach you, that if not possible, you could buy a book and learn on their own.
These two methods are still great options, but they have drawbacks.
