In Gaskell Guitars manufacturer we only left-handed guitars. Our main model is based on the 1958 Gibson Explorer. This is a wonderful guitar, ahead of its time when it was designed, and that this day is a popular "extreme form" guitar with many artists such as James Hetfield (Metallica), The Edge (U2), Gary Moore, and more. In 1980 and 1990 almost all the guitarists seemed Explorers Explorers played or made by other guitar manufacturers like The Police, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Kiss, U2, Metallica, Rick Nielsen, ZZ Top, Lynard Skynard, Gary Moore, and more !
Explorer today is not in the left hand or its subsidiary Gibson, Epiphone.
A left-handed version is made by Gaskell Guitars.
Other guitar manufacturers who have been inspired by this masterpiece of instrumental music Hamer (theirs is called Hamer "Standard" and has no pickguard), Dean Guitars (making an impressive array of colors for your version); Jackson guitars (Jackson called the "Kelly" and is a bit different from the Explorer, but still visible from Explorer.) Other companies have made clones of the Explorer as Tokai, Stagg, Aria, and in the past, Ibanez, ESP and Peavey to name a few.

When we saw that famed guitarist Jorma Kaukonen and bassist Jack Casady of Hot Tuna were headed to the Birchmere, Alexandria, Virginia, we knew it wasn’t an opportunity to miss. Rarely does Modern Guitars get a chance to catch up with musicians who have performed together and stoked a full steam of friendship for 50 years. Since the early ‘60s, Jorma and Jack have shared their love of music and experienced the spirited upheaval of rock stardom as members of Jefferson Airplane, the group that featured vocalist Grace Slick who belted out the rock classic, “Somebody to Love,” and melodically droned the phantasmagorical reverence of “White Rabbit.” It was the age of psychedelia and as much as drugs pierced the veil of the status quo, the music itself was mind altering with Jefferson Airplane searing hot in the klieg lights of the moment…
