As with everything else, everyone has an opinion about who is the greatest guitar solo player and what was his biggest solo. This is all a matter of opinion, of course, but we can still learn from the opinions of the musicians making great guitar solos. Today I thought it through some so-called great guitar solos and see what we can learn from that list. I decided not to number this list. I just want to bring these classics to your attention.
  Stairway To Heaven was recorded in 1971 and was never released as a single in the U.S., but remains among the most requested songs ever. Composed by Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, the final version of the song was the result of many hours of work in the studio of Jimmy Page.
  Sultans of Swing by Dire Straits regime presented the world with scarce and the lyrical genius of Mark Knopfler. The version of the song that appeared on the album was chosen as number 22 in the greatest guitar solos of Guitar World magazine.
  Another song which became the studio was All Along The Watchtower. The guitar solo fits the song as if it was for her, but Jimi Hendrix took the original song by Bob Dylan and added layers of electric guitar until the original could not hold his head.   Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd has two guitar solos. They are a mixture of several improvised solos in the studio and mixed by guitarist David Gilmour. This was supposedly a routine way to work by Gilmour and in this case resulted in guitar solos that appear on the worldwide list of the greats.
  So it's a list of great guitar solos. His mission now is to go to YouTube or a music store and find the songs that you have read here and give them a listen. So if you're interested, go for some ten or a hundred best lists and find bands and music that have never heard and make them part of their musical background. And keep playing guitar.
