Your choice of guitar depends on the style you want to learn to play. If you want to learn to play classical music, then the choice is obvious. For pop music can choose electric or country and western, in my opinion, learning to play acoustic guitar first, but that's my personal opinion. How much to spend on a guitar? When I bought my first guitar was not expensive. Go to a local music / provider of tools and advice about what kind of guitars that are sold mostly for beginners. Remember that to find a guitar between $ 150 and $ 500. . . nothing less! The best option (in my humble opinion) would choose an online guitar course with a live teacher, and live interaction. This will help much more, due to the interaction between you and the teacher. There are a lot of practical and useful information available online. From "guitar tabs" site online tutorials or e-books, just find a good one that works for you.
