Nevertheless, the material that *is* here is good. I figure, for the price I paid, if I learn just one really good chop, it’s worth the price. I got more than one chop from this book. The book is aimed at beginners; it hits its target fairly well. None of the stuff is terribly hard. Keep in mind that if you’re a beginner at guitar, as well as a beginner at acoustic blues, then this stuff will seem impossibly hard at first. But I’ve bought a ton of books, and I can tell you that there are beginner books that are really aimed at beginners, even if they’re tough for a novice to pick up, and then there are books with the word “beginner” in the title that are so stinkin’ hard that they still sit on my shelf, and I’ve been playing for four years. This book is truly aimed at the beginner. In short, there are better choices for beginner acoustic blues, but if you’re like me, and you snag just about every available title on acoustic blues you can find, this book is worth getting.
