Thanks. I’m loving the guitar. And I don’t have any problem with people playing the game. I understand its appeal. But for me, being able to create the music myself and learn the songs I want to is more appealing. I’m not trying to bash the game, just stating my point of view.
Of course, playing a real guitar takes a lot more discipline, but mastering a hard solo on my Ibanez is much more rewarding than any video game experience I’ve had.
I’m glad you’re able to enjoy both.

props, hows everything on the guitar now? i have to say ill definitely remember what you posted, how you bought a real guitar instead. I mean, i love the game, and i love playing guitar too, but the way you said that shows that people are still willing to go for the real deal. For those who are going to “thumbs down” me, I’ve been playing guitar AND GH for a while, and believe me, playing a real instrument is the best.
ANYWAYS, looks like a good game, i didnt try it yet though

That’s a horrible analogy because joining the army puts your life at risk and when you kill someone in real life, they don’t respawn.
But sitting on your couch practicing with your plastic guitar is pretty damn similar to sitting on your couch and practicing with your real guitar. Imagine if all those hours you spent on GH were spent leaning new songs and techniques on your guitar.

I bet you are awesome now, but there are people too like me who also play guitar as well as Guitar Hero, and the way you make it sound is as if playing this game is terrible, which is like saying instad of playing Modern warfare, go and join the army instead of shooting virtual people.

About a year ago, I wanted to buy Guitar Hero: Metallica since everyone else loved GH. In the store, I passed by the real guitars on the way to the game section and suddenly I realized I was about to make a huge mistake.
Why the hell would I want to spend hours mastering a game where I would be pretending to do something that I was capable of doing in real life? So I bought a real guitar instead of the game and I haven’t looked back. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

I play both. GH has helped in regards to finger stretches with my real play. And GH is fun. The two activities are almost completely unrelated.
